Announcement on the project of reconstruction and management of the recreation park named after Babur in the city of Termiz on the basis of the terms of public-private partnership

As is known, in recent years, the attention paid to the private sector in our country has been increasing day by day. After all, the transfer of some services provided by the state to the private sector not only increases the quality of services provided in this area, but also ensures the effective use of budget funds.

In paragraph 11 of the Regulation "On the Procedure for Implementing Public-Private Partnership Projects", approved by the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. 720 dated 30.10.2024 "On Measures for Further Improving and Comprehensive Systematization of the Public-Private Partnership Sector", it is noted that in order to take into account the interests of the population, consumers of goods (works, services), and users, a PPP project should be prepared at the request of the authorized state body, along with public discussions.

Based on the above, Termez city announces that a project for the reconstruction and management of the Alisher Navoi recreation park in the city of Termez is being developed on the basis of public-private partnership terms.

The project envisages the creation of a thematic cultural and recreational park in the Bobur culture and recreation park located in the Shodlik MFY at the expense of private sector funds; the reconstruction of the existing recreation park and the construction of light-structured shopping malls, a complex of sports and recreation and household services facilities, as well as modern attractions.
For information: The implementation of this project will create 150 new jobs in the city, increase the flow of tourists to the city, improve the quality of service and the investment attractiveness of the city. Also, this recreation park will be temporarily transferred to a private partner on the basis of reliable management.

In this case, the use of project objects as collateral for obtaining a loan is not allowed. Upon the expiration of the PPP agreement, the project objects (together with the planned new buildings) will be returned to the state partner.
